Our Story
Harper & Bright Designs® was founded in 2007 by a husband and wife team who were passionate about helping families make the most of small spaces. As parents themselves, they understood the challenges of creating bedrooms, playrooms, and home offices for kids that were both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
After struggling to find well-designed, budget-friendly furniture themselves, our founders saw an opportunity to provide stylish, space-saving solutions to other families. They started Harper & Bright Designs® out of their home garage, focused on making sturdy, attractive bunk beds that would stand the test of time.
Word soon spread about the quality and affordability of our bunk beds, and demand grew quickly. We expanded our product line to include loft beds, daybeds, desks, dressers, and more. Our team grew from 2 to over 50 employees. In just a few short years, we had transformed from a small home business into one of America’s leading children’s furniture brands.
Today, Harper & Bright Designs® operates a 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility and showroom in California. Our products are sold through major retailers like The Home Depot, as well as specialty children’s furniture stores. We’ve helped turn tens of thousands of crowded kids’ rooms into efficient, livable spaces.
But our commitment to families remains at the heart of everything we do. All our furniture is rigorously tested to meet or exceed all safety standards. - We only use materials like solid hardwoods, steel, and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) to ensure strength and durability.
- Every product undergoes thorough evaluations and tests for structural integrity and construction quality.
- We pass all mandatory CPSC and ASTM tests for bunk bed and loft bed railings, structural stability, and more.
- Our bunk beds are rated to hold up to 400 lbs on the top level and 600 lbs on the bottom bunk.
- All components are rigorously checked for sharp edges, protruding screws, and other elements that could pose safety hazards.
We also stand behind our quality by offering a 1-year limited warranty on every piece sold. And our dedicated customer service team is ready to respond to any product issue or concern.
